We are a queer, feminist-led team on a mission to make astrology (and its wisdom) accessible to everyone. Want to join us?

Our team is small but mighty, and always growing. Check our open roles below.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Astrology Writer to join our team at Chani Nicholas Incorporated.
The job:
We are seeking a traditional astrologer and experienced writer with proven success in creating accurate and engaging content. Candidates with at least five years of traditional (Hellenistic) astrology and at least ten years of writing experience are encouraged to apply.
The Senior Astrology Writer will work closely with the Content, Copy, and Marketing teams to create astrological content that encourages our readers’ self-acceptance, healing, and growth.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer who is comfortable completing creative projects promptly and taking in feedback from others. You understand how to marry the traditions of astrology with inclusive, intersectional feminist thinking, issues of equity, social justice, and trauma-informed language. You possess a clear, accurate understanding of traditional astrology and can distill complex ideas into fresh, fun, creative, and compelling content.

How to apply:
To apply, please send your resume, cover letter, writing sample (instructions below), and list of 3 references (names, position, relationship, and email address) to jobs@chani.com with the subject line “Senior Astrology Writer.” Please include your name and pronouns on all documents.
The writing sample should be a 60-to-90-word daily horoscope written for one rising sign (like you would find on the homescreen of the CHANI app). You can write your horoscope based on any single transit (e.g. “Full Moon in Scorpio,” or “Mars entering Libra,” etc.) for a past or future date. Please be sure to specify the horoscope date, transit, and rising sign in your sample.
We expect to receive a large number of applications for this position, and your writing sample is your best opportunity to demonstrate your astrology knowledge and understanding of the CHANI brand voice. Please also note: we will not contact your references without notifying you first.
Folks who are queer, trans, non-binary, Black, Indigenous, people of color, disabled, parents, immigrants; are/have been system-impacted; and/or have experienced systemic oppression or gender-based violence are encouraged to apply.
Please note that because we expect to receive a large volume of applicants, we will only be in touch if we would like to move you forward to the next round. You will receive an auto-reply confirming the reception of your application — if you sent it to the correct email address, we received it. We also check our spam folders regularly and will retrieve your application if it lands there. Thank you for your understanding.
