The Job
We’re looking for a dynamic, data-centric marketing leader with experience leading impactful, revenue driving performance marketing efforts. As the Director ofPerformance Marketing, you will lead customer acquisition, retention, lifecycle, and marketing measurement efforts for both the CHANI app and our online store.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of marketing and analytics professionals to plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across various channels including SEO/SEM email,push notifications, social media, influencers, affiliates, and paid advertising;
  • Evaluate and implement internal digital marketing platforms and measurement infrastructures to support automation and data-driven decision making across allmarketing channels;
  • Utilize consumer insights and data to develop custom user journeys that enhance the overall CHANI app and online store experience;
  • Develop goals and KPIs for all customer acquisition and retention marketing initiatives while regularly monitoring performance to identify areas for optimization;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, content, brand marketing, and engineering to align on overarching business goals and data reporting;
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leaders around marketing innovation and new avenues for revenue growth; and
  • Create a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and accountability within the team, while fostering team growth and professional development.

Who We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of professional experience in digital marketing and analytics, including experience managing teams;
  • Proficient in data analysis and A/B testing methodologies to optimize performance;
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts;
  • Proactive and adaptable in an agile work environment – someone who embraces change and is confident leading in uncharted waters;
  • Experience in e-commerce strategies on Shopify;
  • Basic understanding of Astrology strongly preferred;

The job:
We are seeking a traditional astrologer and experienced writer with proven success in creating accurate and engaging content. Candidates with at least five years of traditional (Hellenistic) astrology and at least ten years of writing experience are encouraged to apply.

The Senior Astrology Writer will work closely with the Content, Copy, and Marketing teams to create astrological content that encourages our readers’ self-acceptance, healing, and growth.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer who is comfortable completing creative projects promptly and taking in feedback from others. You understand how to marry the traditions of astrology with inclusive, intersectional feminist thinking, issues of equity, social justice, and trauma-informed language. You possess a clear, accurate understanding of traditional astrology and can distill complex ideas into fresh, fun, creative, and compelling content.

What you’ll do:

  • Write and edit pithy, astrologically accurate, and engaging content for the daily horoscopes;
  • Write and edit astrologically accurate, engaging content for the planetary horoscopes;
  • Write and edit push notifications, tarot cards, astro weather, journal prompts, and any other content that’s updated weekly in the app;
  • Write and edit horoscopes and workshops for the year ahead;
  • Write and edit any new features we add to the natal chart; and
  • Assist in writing needs for the website, social media, and The Weekly newsletter.

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of professional experience operating in written content creation, and/or study in journalism, publishing, or media;
  • 5+ years of studying traditional astrology;
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with good storytelling instincts;
  • Experience in breaking down large content into different formats, such as social media, newsletters, website content, etc.;
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills;
  • Ability to explain complex information in a way that anyone can understand while maintaining brand voice;
  • An ability to absorb and integrate feedback;
  • A proactive, highly organized, self-motivated work ethic, with a willingness to learn;
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, patience, good judgment and flexibility in their work;
  • Commitment to the highest standards of integrity;

What you’ll do:

  • Translate product ideas and user behaviors into tangible user journeys, lo-fi mocks, and wireframes for both app and website experiences
  • Contribute to the company's unified design system by creating accessible, inclusive user experiences across mobile and web platforms
  • Partner with product to define clear user problems and success metrics before design begins
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure design decisions are technically feasible through prototypes and iteration
  • Conduct lightweight user research including interviews, A/B testing, and prototype feedback to validate hypotheses and inform roadmap priorities
  • Own the setup, tracking, and analysis of Amplitude reporting, using both quantitative (funnels, click paths, behavioral data) and qualitative insights (user stories, feedback) to guide design decisions
  • Collaborate with leadership on iterative feature discovery and user research
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing and CX to ensure consistent experience across web, app, and communications.
  • Contribute to internal documentation including design critiques, research share outs, and QA checklists

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in product or UX design, ideally in consumer mobile or wellness and lifestyle apps
  • Can guide early-stage ideas and collective brainstorming into clear direction and actionable plans
  • Enjoy collaborating closely with engineers and can contextualize design decisions in terms of user needs and technical tradeoffs
  • Know how to balance intuition and analytics
  • Have strong UX craft including simplifying multi-step flows, designing for mobile-first, and caring about accessibility and inclusivity
