We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Astrology Writer to join our team at Chani Nicholas Incorporated.


The job:
We are seeking a traditional astrologer and experienced writer with proven success in creating accurate and engaging content. Candidates with at least five years of traditional (Hellenistic) astrology and at least ten years of writing experience are encouraged to apply.

The Senior Astrology Writer will work closely with the Content, Copy, and Marketing teams to create astrological content that encourages our readers’ self-acceptance, healing, and growth.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer who is comfortable completing creative projects promptly and taking in feedback from others. You understand how to marry the traditions of astrology with inclusive, intersectional feminist thinking, issues of equity, social justice, and trauma-informed language. You possess a clear, accurate understanding of traditional astrology and can distill complex ideas into fresh, fun, creative, and compelling content.

What you’ll do:

  • Write and edit pithy, astrologically accurate, and engaging content for the daily horoscopes;
  • Write and edit astrologically accurate, engaging content for the planetary horoscopes;
  • Write and edit push notifications, tarot cards, astro weather, journal prompts, and any other content that’s updated weekly in the app;
  • Write and edit horoscopes and workshops for the year ahead;
  • Write and edit any new features we add to the natal chart; and
  • Assist in writing needs for the website, social media, and The Weekly newsletter.

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of professional experience operating in written content creation, and/or study in journalism, publishing, or media;
  • 5+ years of studying traditional astrology;
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with good storytelling instincts;
  • Experience in breaking down large content into different formats, such as social media, newsletters, website content, etc.;
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills;
  • Ability to explain complex information in a way that anyone can understand while maintaining brand voice;
  • An ability to absorb and integrate feedback;
  • A proactive, highly organized, self-motivated work ethic, with a willingness to learn;
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, patience, good judgment and flexibility in their work;
  • Commitment to the highest standards of integrity;
  • Confidence to take initiative and make decisions proactively;
  • Strong people skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to work well with others as well as alone;
  • Ability to work a normal schedule of Monday through Thursday during normal business hours; and

Preference for candidates with:

  • Basic knowledge of Google Workspace and Airtable;
  • Experience writing for social media, media companies, literary, or news publications;
  • Experience casting electional charts; and
  • A self-driven commitment to the active study of traditional (Hellenistic) astrology.

  • $100,000 - $110,000 salary (commensurate with experience, plus $10k in additional, annual stipends for a total of $110-120k)*;

The job:

We are seeking an innovative, data-informed, and highly creative Marketing Manager with proven success in driving top-of-funnel growth, managing high-impact influencer partnerships, and producing seamless, community-centered in-person activations. The Marketing Manager will lead the strategy and execution of campaigns designed to boost app downloads, cultivate brand champions, and creatively scale our global community.

In this role, you’ll be accountable for building brand awareness and accelerating user acquisition across multiple offline and digital touchpoints. You will manage our influencer ecosystem from end-to-end and own the production of in-person events that translate our digital magic into the physical world. This role is critical to ensuring that our marketing flywheel is continuously driving sustainable growth.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional growth strategist and relationship builder who can both design a high-level marketing roadmap and get their hands dirty executing it. We're looking for someone who is digitally savvy, possesses a deep understanding of creator culture, and is a content producer at heart. Someone who comprehends the importance of knowing your audience, what moves them to take action, and how to track campaign performance. Someone who is a forward-thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the strategy, negotiation, and execution of our influencer marketing program to drive continuous top-of-funnel app downloads;
  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute unforgettable in-person activations and community events that deepen brand loyalty and drive viral awareness;
  • Coordinate multi-channel marketing campaigns spanning email, paid/organic growth loops, and creative partnerships to hit download targets;
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of content creators, influencers, and brand ambassadors aligned with CHANI’s mission and values;
  • Continually optimize user acquisition funnels by capturing and evaluating growth data, attribution metrics, and campaign ROI, with consultation and approval of the Director of Marketing;
  • Collaborate with the creative and social teams to ensure influencer deliverables and event assets stay beautifully on-brand and on-message;
  • Identify real-time cultural trends and experiential marketing opportunities to keep CHANI at the forefront of the industry;
  • Prepare regular progress reports measuring growth marketing performance, download velocities, and influencer campaign conversions;
  • Manage the experiential marketing budget efficiently, ensuring high-impact delivery for all physical activations;
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with external partners, vendors, agencies, and community leaders.

Who we're looking for:

  • 6+ years of professional experience operating in growth marketing, influencer relations, and/or event production/experiential marketing;
  • Proven track record of successfully driving top-of-funnel user acquisition and mobile app downloads;
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills;
  • A proactive, highly organized, data-informed, and self-motivated work ethic with a willingness to learn;
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, patience, good judgment, and flexibility in their work;

The job:
We are seeking a promising and experienced candidate with proven success in creating innovative and engaging content, honing a brand’s voice, and creatively driving user-centric digital experiences. The Social Media and Digital Content Manager will assist the company in storytelling, content creation, social media presence, and exceeding marketing goals. 

In this role, you’ll be accountable for building brand awareness, engagement, and community across all social and digital channels. You will direct end-to-end content creation for all social channels. This role is critical to ensuring that our content is driving growth. 

The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and communicator (witty) who can both build and carry out a content strategy that attracts, engages, and activates our target audience. We’re looking for someone who is digitally savvy, is obsessed with what’s trending, (knows basic astrology) and loves fostering and engaging in meaningful conversations. Someone who comprehends the importance of knowing your audience, what resonates with them, and how to distill elaborate ideas into fresh, creative, and compelling content. Someone who is a forward-thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in developing social media strategies to advance the company's social media presence;
  • Oversee all social media accounts, comments, and activity;
  • Coordinate compelling digital and social media marketing campaigns, including copywriting, content creation, editing, design, and implementation;
  • Handle and actualize social media platforms day to day (including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, and other emerging platforms) and develop and maintain of a social media content calendar;
  • Write, edit, publish and share high-quality and engaging daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action and attract app subscribers;
  • Aid in guaranteeing the consistent use of brand identity and messaging across the company by ensuring digital campaigns stay on message;
  • Continuously refine digital marketing strategy by capturing and evaluating the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and optimum practices, and then acting on the information, with consultation and approval of the Director of Marketing;
  • Identify real-time digital and cultural trends to inform social media strategy and community building;
  • Monitor social media trends and translate learnings into actionable insights;
