You can always rewrite these inner scripts — or ditch them altogether. It may not be easy or comfortable, but it is possible. So try a little gentleness. Take your time figuring out which new projects or conversations you’re excited about. Then make a game plan.

Catch your breath. It’s great to have drive as you move through your day. But it’s just as important to rest and decompress. So do something that relaxes you. If you’re short on time, try taking a warm shower or sitting outside for a few minutes. It might feel “unproductive,” but pausing to recharge is what keeps you from burning out as you get things done.
